A co-designed programme by health professionals, service users and arts practitioners that support young people to face challenges to their mental wellbeing by providing tools to better express and manage their emotions.
Creative arts provide an outlet for expression, a space for play and inspiration, and tools for self-reflection. Skip to the Beat sees experienced artist facilitators lead creative workshops and build safe communities to explore and develop their mental resilience.
By joining the programme participants embark on a journey – from building confidence, through gaining skills and strategies for mental wellbeing, to reflect on their progress. We deliver this in three different ways; as a one-week or two-week intensive, or a three-month project.
